Kuningas 02:44
[Verse 1] It's been a long time, but we're back with the gems It's the return of the rooftop assassin, in '10 We made magic, heads wanted more when chances were slim But now it's here, so you don't ever need to ask me again Before I settle into character, rest in peace To Avenging Wind and Praverb, two real MCs And there's no features from amateurs, just classic beats And rhymes on dust, but you ain't getting that for free To make it simple for the simpletons, rappers are Scott Templetons Bullshit ya for the Pulitzer With empty notepads, where your quotes at? The game treat me like I'm Gus Haynes, to tell the truth is to love pain Cassandra syndrome's the burden of a young king The essence that I draw from's the antonym to mundane Authority that's earned always trumps royal pedigree My legacy will prove to the plebs I'll forever be [Chorus] Kuningas - The Paladin returns to an empty throne Time to take the reins, rule the land like it's my own Kuningas - I don't give a fuck about a claim If blood's thicker than water, you will spill it in my name Kuningas - Better loved abroad than at home But the soul of my birthplace's embedded in my poems Kuningas - I don't give a fuck if you applaud me Guaranteed, Cee'll score like Jari when he was fourty [Verse 2] Score like Sel‰nne, the great 8, hard down the corner pocket It drops, like blood from your nasal My man conquered seas and the sky when he was naval While internationally, I collaborated, my name grew Underestimating me is a mistake Which, wouldn't you know, happens to get made every day Networking with people from 16 different countries And there you go talking about the money Chatting to your ass, sky's always overcast If I'm not charting, every compliment is backhanded I'm accused of grandstanding when I'm better than most They can't stand it, silent in my presence Venemous in my absence, axes to asses Then ashes to ashes, grains to the granary Bread never broken with those of false flattery The lames might like you but the game will respect me as [Chorus] Kuningas - The Paladin returns to an empty throne Time to take the reins, rule the land like it's my own Kuningas - I don't give a fuck about a claim If blood's thicker than water, you will spill it in my name Kuningas - Better loved abroad than at home But the soul of my birthplace's embedded in my poems Kuningas - I don't give a fuck if you applaud me Guaranteed, Cee'll score like Jari when he was fourty

Hell 02:54
[Verse 1] Seeing money permeate our society A man-made drug got us playing "get as high as me" It's like our brains built receptors To signals overriding emotions that would connect us We are still subscribed to the concept of race Though in human taxonomy it just doesn't have a place But it's cool, cause divide and conquer always been a staple In history as a tool, to keep me and you as slaves It gets subtle when we think we are awake Putting stock in disinformation we hear on the waves Or read on the web, poorly researched articles appear To debunk facts long proven, believe what you want As long as you don't point a gun at those who disagree But since we'd rather be right than be at peace Out goes the ratchet, another man splattered on the floor Over whose fairytale should be the law [Hook] It's like that, and uh Put the money in the bag, give it to back to the, banks Living every day in fear of being broke Helping other people stay rich, you'll never get a "thanks" It's like that, and uh Put the, pieces together, check facts and you'll see Every ideology becomes a cult to divide us Feuding over what it is that we believe [Verse 2] What's your life like? Apart from the moments you post To bait either admiration, envy or some of both So you met a famous guy and by taking a pic With him, you boost your self-esteem like it's making a difference Insecurity's a doggone plague When in public people calling for a safe space Just to evade the scrutiny at large - Levelled at them everyday anyway, grow a hide or go in hiding Never been fond of PC, no surprises Life is hectic as it is, find me where the quiet is And I don't have an angle on shit, I'm just biased Like everyone else, though much less so in private Can't stuff me in a box, tryhards attempt though Denying it and hate to be reminded They better learn to spell 'fore they're throwing the book Do like the average phone user and shoot yourself in the foot Go to Norway... [Hook] It's like that, and uh Put the money in the bag, give it to back to the, banks Living every day in fear of being broke Helping other people stay rich, you'll never get a "thanks" It's like that, and uh Put the, pieces together, check facts and you'll see Every ideology becomes a cult to divide us Feuding over what it is that we believe

Cold 02:36
[Verse 1] Another morning in the city, the air is ripe Of asphalt vapor and dust, and every face just Hides behind papers or screens, to not betray The inner screams, later to be directed at others Such as lovers and kids, if words don't fly Then hands will or pots and pans of steel The young ones absorb that, go off at classmates Under peer pressure to get some on their next date Gotta have brand name threads, cause exclusion's a real Wound and it's hard to Band-Aid that Especially if you gotta look good on IG Like it's par for the course in this modern society Nothing fair about it, it's rough - Consumerism is a drug Skewed concepts of manhood are breeding thugs Games are played like nobody needs love Lying to each other, in technology we trust [Hook] Everywhere you look, it's cold (during summer) And cold (during spring) and cold (during fall) We can't let winter in our hearts, need a glimmer For the dark, push forward cause the end is not far when Everywhere you look, it's cold (during summer) And cold (during spring) and cold (during fall) The temperatures arise but hearts are still callous Minds are calculating, therefore we need balance [Verse 2] Someday, I'll be a father, if I have a daughter Will she want to be Kim K or Malala? If I have a son, will he inherit my rebellious spirit? Or will he be content in this system? Wouldn't want my children to suffer the same strife Though adversities are what makes you tougher in life Success is to be earned, it shall not be given If you do things on your own, the reward is the wisdom That there are things you can't do alone, and there are Two paths to achieve them, through friendship or business Motives are disguised, be aware of them all And prepare for the rise, likewise for the fall To be true to yourself among many is a challenge Extremes are aplenty, the rarest thing is balance A handful of jewels tucked away for the time That I gotta raise mine, though they'll never be enough [Hook] Everywhere you look, it's cold (during summer) And cold (during spring) and cold (during fall) We can't let winter in our hearts, need a glimmer For the dark, push forward cause the end is not far when Everywhere you look, it's cold (during summer) And cold (during spring) and cold (during fall) The temperatures arise but hearts are still callous Minds are calculating, therefore we need balance

Us 03:16
[Verse 1] I lost many dreams to sleepless nights And even when I did dream, I had a problem to retain it I wonder if the patterns I see in life Say more about me or the ones perpetuating them We discount those of lesser station But add money to the equation, you see a saint in them Before you mention saints who should be considered? Even Mahatma Gandhi used to kill Zulu with the British Why do we assert no person is perfect When we expect from people to have everything working Before we even consider to commit Like we all don't have baggage we don't need in the cellar and shit What if soul mates are a lie and who ends up chosen Is due to oxytocin, androstenones and shit And you can put limerence over limericks The most beautiful illusion upheld wins What if I told you that the answers you seek Won't solve your depression, they just brand you as weak Because we all wanna hear about an ending that's good But then ignore that the process is harder than our problems We expect people's support but won't lend Equal support, unless they wouldn't need our support Because we fawn over those who're seen as the stars But don't you even retort, that's why I need to withdraw so often From people to even have some peace for a portion Of a day, that otherwise only leads to exhaustion Some days I just want to be me but I have started to believe That it is hard enough to meet that prospect You can't see me in photos, I don't exist You'll have fun with your friends, I'm nowhere in the midst I'm peripheral to most lives, sometimes I wonder what if My soul could slip out of my hide What is being said about me, when I ain't there Even though my self-defense is pretense that I don't care - Well I obviously do, seeking for a reason why to pursue A woman who seems to like me, too busy to write me, though Is my tendency to overthink harmful? Why do I repeatedly choose to involve you? Why do I want companionship for a reason Other than the one expected, I'm tired of all the questions Where's the money? All else is just a certificate Of participation that doesn't mean shit I mean, that's how you wanna play, right? We could fuck when it's dark but you won't know me during daylight I learned so much about women but so far Relationships appear to be subject to Briffault's law That's why I don't take physical cues You're prob'ly thinking I'm oblivious to I'm just tired of the games, tired of the "why"s and "can't"s Tired of the "I understand"s Tired of the promises and tired of demands Life's a zero-sum-game to get inside of them pants [Hook] Romantic ideals often turn to visions crushed Trading trust for a quick fix of Tinder lust Live it up, we're all just fickle trying to feel the rush Tomorrow it may occur we'll see a different us

Forward 03:00
[Verse 1] Gazing out the window, clear skies Falling leaves, neighbors fighting every morning So I'm walking past a woman with her tears dried Can't seem to leave either, though Maybe it's kids involved, well, I don't need to know Tough time as it is, finding the balance between Pursuing a passion and making a living And so far I haven't been decent at either, so Change is in order, gotta move forward The hamster wheel is getting too crowded Ambition is a trip, loving what I do But not knowing what to do with it Nonstop bombardment about who's really getting it Drowning my question what the point of it all is Praising mediocrity for raising the bar and it Feels like Kings pre-flop, but all calling This Harleckin's got serious, Now We're Talkin' The pressure weighs heavy so I'm walking it off Tired of the premise of expecting things That our own self-centered butts never invested Tired of being blunt but not getting the message Across, when I look at you, I'm seeing my flaws When I look in the mirror, I'm seeing scars On a subdermal level that should never concern you To be honest, loving yourself can hurt too Seeing your worth, but not seeing what it's worth to It's whole another argument If you're not the right recipient then forward it We ain't here for ourselves alone Even if we're often here, with ourselves, alone Fine line between solitude, and the lack Of interaction with the outside world that bothers you We gotta learn to see days to look forward to... Like this one, and then some On a grassy patch watching the sun set Or talking till you overhear the birds conversing On the outskirts of Berlin, at a lake Granted contemplation that's not found in churches Away from people that always seem to look for something But never seem to know why they're searching Trading one need, for another, every purchase Superficial interest expressed through flirting Makes me want to press forward to the part Of the conversation where we both clarify what we're wanting Even if it's just one thing Like "can you pass me the ashtray?" Being straight-forward shouldn't be a problem And yet I'm waking up to these thoughts every morning [Hook] I gotta find a way to move forward Even though I can't outrun entropy I gotta find a way to move forward Otherwise who I was'll be my destiny...

about

I want to thank Juho for relighting my ember after I embarked on my lonesome journey in 2010 on the heels of my album. It all started with "Rooftop Assassin", a song I named so due to his 2009 Rooftops EP, back on MySpace. As I conclude my "Concrete Cee" chapter, I felt it only right for the last project released under that name to be with him. It closes the circle. From our collaborations, especially "I'm Chillin'", so many beautiful things and connections have transpired. I will always be grateful and appreciative of this creative synergy. The time is right.
I hope you will enjoy this EP and the effort we put into it. Skip less, rewind more. One love.

-Cedric Till aka Concrete Cee

Its just pure gold when things just flow when you connect with right people, this project is very good example of that. We both have our own areas, mutual respect, and same type of vision of the end result.
Even this EP is one sort of closure, this is also opening for many upcoming tracks and projects. Press play, and at the end rewind!
